Icy Blues

I seem to have a little unexpected free time on my hands this morning. The pastors in our circuit were supposed to have a meeting today, and I was going to host their wives (the few that were able to make it) at home. Since Friday I’ve been working on getting the Christmas decorations up, cleaning the house, making food, etc. I know, it sounds like a very long four days of work, but it’s very hard to do while trying to keep the baby out of the Christmas tree. To our disappointment the meeting was cancelled due to slick conditions outside. It’s the kind of weather I loved when I was a teacher. The schools were closed yesterday and today. It’s funny how something I desired so much four years ago is something that disappoints me now; I was really looking forward to the company. Now I’ll have to fill the day with finishing my Christmas tree blog entry and signing many, many Christmas cards.
