Ogli has left. It was very kind of her to come and visit us, and we enjoyed the extra time we had together. Now Chloe will wake up from nap to find that Ogli (pronounced OH-glee) had to leave.
We're not sure how "Grandma" became "Ogli", but Chloe insists that's who she is. At first Mom fought the idea of being Ogli, but we told her it was much better than the alternative. Sometimes Chloe got really lazy with her speech and called her Ogre. I think she's determined that Ogli might not be so bad after all. Besides, she was trying to come up with a different name so we wouldn't have to say Grandma Koester and Grandma Kollmeyer. We'll just have to wait a few weeks and see what Chloe calls Grandma Koester.
The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend! It was warm enough Friday evening when Mom got here that we went into the backyard and played ball with Chloe for a while. We only had to wear light jackets. Saturday was warmer yet, so we went to the park. The only reason we wore jackets there was because the wind had picked up and the sun was starting to get low in the sky. Chloe had a blast playing on everything in the park. By Sunday we were all wearing short-sleeved outfits and didn't even bother with jackets when we went to church (we reached the 70's). Who would have thought that it would drop to the 30's on Monday?
Now Ogli is on the road home, driving through some yucky weather in St. Louis. Hopefully the roads won't be too bad for her. By the way, if my inclement weather theory holds true, we'll have to wait for a while yet. We didn't get any of our predicted snow or sleet.
