Anybody who wants to sit up with a baby in the middle of the night is welcome at our house anytime! Julia used to sleep through the night. She did it several times before we went on vacation. Ever since we got back from vacation, it’s been a whole different story. The past 4-5 nights have been horrible! She’s been falling asleep and put in bed sometime around 10:30. Usually between 11:00 and 11:30 she’s awake again, at which point Kevin goes down to her room to shush her back to sleep (she can’t/doesn’t fall back asleep on her own). Then around 1:00 she’s awake again. This time it’s my turn to go downstairs to get her back to sleep. She eats for a while and takes her time falling back asleep. I rarely get back to bed in less than an hour. Around 4:00 she’s crying again. I repeat the 1:00 ritual. Then she’s up one more time between 5:30 and 6:00. Sometimes this results in yet another feeding. Kevin gets up after the feeding (if one was necessary) and sleeps with her on the couch. For whatever reason she won’t sleep in her crib after 6:00.
Speaking of the devil… my clock reads 10:58 and she’s crying. I thought by 4 months we were supposed to be past these sleep issues. Anybody want to come sit with me and keep me company?

usually when you start feeding them cereal, that makes them feel fuller longer and they then start sleeping through the night. It sounds like you are having the oposite reaction. Sorry I have no great advice. With babies, you feel like things are looking better in the sleep routine, and they then change it on you.
Hope you get some much needed sleep soon. If vacation set this off, and you are not getting back into a routine, maybe you need another vacation!
I seem to remember this happening with teeth and growth spurts. Could these things be happening?
I would have no way of telling if she's having a growth spurt. I do think that she's working on a tooth, even though Kevin's not convinced of it. Hopefully it will break through soon!
