Please don't laugh at me too hard when you read this. Before going to Julia's two month check-up on Wednesday, I was a bit worried about her weight. No, I wasn't worried about her gaining too much weight. I thought I might go into the doctor's office to find she hadn't gained enough. I know, just look at those malnourished cheeks. My concern was rooted in the fact that she often goes 4-5 hours between feedings. After going to the doctor, I've decided I won't worry unless she refuses to eat at all. My two-month-old weighs 13 pounds. That's the 98th percentile for those of you keeping track. Granted, she's long enough that she doesn't look extremely chubby. But she's definitely well fed! The doctor left the exam room repeating the phrase: She's a big baby! It seems so weird to think that a month and a half ago she wasn't eating because of the jaundice and was losing weight.

here i go again. i write a response and send it, and it doesn't go and now i have to start over.
I wrote that i thought Julia looked like she was gaining a lot in the pictures in the blog before this one.
We will hardly recognize her from the baby we saw in March!
Glad to hear that she is gaining just fine.
Did she lose any hair on the back of her head? It looks like she still has a lot and some curl too!
